Winemaking notes:

This is our traditional blend of four clones of Pinot Noir; 45% Pommard, 20% Dijon Clone 777, 20% Dijon Clone 114, and 15% W√§denswil. The Pommard clone continues to be the foundation of our estate wine. The 2011 vintage shows an excellent picture of the elegance of our older wines. The Vintage is round and refined and will please a broad spectrum of palates.

Tasting Notes:

The 2011 Bayliss-Bower Vineyard Pinot Noir is very aromatic with lots of red cherry, strawberry jam, and a hint of caramelized sugar underlying lifted floral tones; almost a "perfume" character followed by a spicy quality of white pepper, lemon zest, nutmeg, and seven spice. The palate follows with a bright red fruit and spicy tones that are soft and then lifted by bright acidity. It finishes round and is long and lingering. There is a slighter tannin structure and overall it comes across as lovely, elegant, and utterly delightful.
