Idilico Albariño 2013

This comes from Duchman vineyard, a new 6 acre planting of Albariño in the cooler area of the Yakima Valley north of Prosser. The vineyard was planted by the DenHoed brothers and this is the fourth crop from the vineyard (sixth leaf). Yields were around five tons per acre.

Winemaking comprised of straight forward stainless steel fermentation and aging with moderate lees contact for four months. No malolactic fermentation was allowed. The wine was lightly cold stabilized, fined and filtered before being bottled at the end of March 2013. Alcohol is 12.5%, TA 6.1 g/l, PH 3.42. One thousand cases produced.

The wine shows notes of citrus and tropical fruit followed by luscious, crisp and refreshing flavors. Drink anytime the sun shines.
